Ever since its introduction to the SALMO range the HORNET family has been our absolute best seller. Not large, but stocky, aggressive and ... dangerous - that`s what each member of the HORNET family is. Carefully-designed, durable construction and perfect balance generate a unique action which can rarely be resisted by any fish. The smaller models require appropriate tackle for the best results - the smallest snap, the finest line and a sensitive rod; that is the recipe for success.

The HORNET family consists of five sizes of lures in the floating, sinking, Shallow Runner, Deep Runner and Super Deep Runner (models 4 and 5) versions. Please note the new size of HORNET for the coming season – 5cm, and new luminescent colors.

How to fish:
These lures are excellent for upstream fishing: just keep the retrieve speed slightly faster than the current speed. They also work well fished downstream, hold the lure in place over deeper spots where you expect the larger specimens to be. For lakes and reservoirs they are great for both trolling and casting. It is absolutely vital that you use the correct tackle for the Hornet – light and sensitive rods, tiny snaps and swivels, and the finest line you can manage will deliver the best performance.
