SHOGUN - 8,5cm

Shogun is a ripper with an unusual tail shape, attracting predators with wavy action of the whole body. At first glance Shogun looks a bit shocking - a bulky body with deep cuts starting just behind the head, and instead of a hoof or a classic twister tail there is only a small, completely flat imitation of a roach or bleak tail fin. Shogun was invented for fishing in very shallow, often heavily overgrown waters, using very light heads or swimbait hooks (with or without weight). The basis of correct leading is to operate the rod tip in such a way that the lure moves naturally, rather quietly, imitating the behaviour of a small fish feeding among underwater vegetation. By changing the direction of movement - sometimes by lowering the lure deeper, and other times by raising it slightly towards the surface - we provoke predators lurking in the shallows to attack. Shogun was tested in Poland in the summer on the Nogat River and in a few shallow lakes in Masuria. Apart from perches feeding there (they took the best on the 10 cm rubber), many pikes were tempted by it, and the smallest model proved effective for rudd and spawning breams. Special notches in the dorsal and ventral parts of the Shogun allow for better hook placement in a way that reduces the number of plant hook-ups, while not compromising the effectiveness of the jerkbaits.
