Due to the distinctive deep shape, Mepps has created a crazy spoon. It makes aggressive and snake-like movements and reacts to any release or acceleration with hysterical disfunction. When stopped by the stretched fishing line, it descends flickering, and even then a fish is expected to bite. Syclops is a very diversified model. Skillful running results in the lure moving like a sick fish. The manufacturer has designed the spoon for still waters due to its weight and long-range casting. The small models, especially in aggressive colours, are excellent for perch, the bigger ones for pikes, and in the zander water area they slowly retrieve at the bottom and are attacked by milky-eyed predators. They may also be used in the salmon water area, since they behave well even in the fast current and can bring trout, sea trout, or salmon. In May, armed with a tiny treble hook on a wire they are good for fishing Baltic garfish. They are also suitable for the slow trolling. In large rivers, they can be used for fishing zander from vast, gravel, not very deep surfaces with a slower, even current. They can rarely catch asp, although Syclops’ movements are too much aggressive for this fish. The lures of this type, especially its 9 cm model, can also bring sheatfish when used in the dusk.
