There is hardly a fisherman who hasn't known famous live-bait species like minnow, gudgeon and lamprey, but these live baits are prohibited to use in many countries by national regulations due to its superb effectiveness and its being a top valuable sort of fishes. Thus, these species were the prototypes for our new silicone slug baits which we designed for perch, zander, pike and chub as the main predators of the European spots. The best technique for Gastronomic Worms is bottom jigging. Several variants of rig equipment and application are available: classic jig rig, offset hook, and jig-head, but mainly drop-shot rig. Gastronomic Worms have also proved their splendid catching abilities for bass hunting with Texas or Carolina rigs.
