Hundreds of anglers from countries all over the world cannot all be wrong: the SALMO BULLHEAD is the best imitation of small species of the bullhead family and madtom catfish available on the market.

However, this alone is not enough to explain the unbelievable effectiveness of this lure. The mystery of the BULLHEAD is in its ideal blend of qualities – its shape, color and unique action in the water. Designed with trout streams in mind it turned out to be just as effective in large rivers and even in lakes and reservoirs.

With anglers’ needs from many countries in mind SALMO now introduces a new model to the BULLHEAD family for the 2005 season. This is the biggest member of this family so far - 8 cm. As with all previous BULLHEAD models, it will be available in classic floating and sinking, as well as in Super Deep Runner versions. Please note the new luminescent color now available.

How to fish:
In fast-flowing small streams you can fish the Bullhead both upstream and downstream, the most effective method is casting upstream then retrieving, the lure in an arc across the flow back to your feet. In water with lots of snags the SDR version is indispensable for its unique ability to bounce off and over obstacles. In larger rivers it is best to cast the Bullhead upstream then retrieve it as slowly as possible with numerous pauses mixed with gentle twitches. For slow trolling the SDR is the best choice, keeping the lure 30 meters behind the boat.
