ESOX JOINTED - F - NGR - 14cm
The ESOX Jointed 14 cm is a true classic in trophy anglers’ tackle boxes. This two-piece wobbler was designed to provoke even the laziest predators that ignore standard, rigid lures.
Characteristics and Action
The main advantage of the Esox Jointed is its distinctive, “snake-like” action. Thanks to the articulated body design, the wobbler moves extremely smoothly and naturally.
• Action: Even when retrieved very slowly, the lure’s tail sweeps distinctly, generating a strong hydroacoustic wave.
• Floatation: This is a floating model, allowing for the use of the “stop-and-go” technique. After stopping, the wobbler slowly rises toward the surface, which is often the moment the pike strikes.
• Depth: The 14 cm version typically dives to a depth of 1.5–2.5 meters (depending on line thickness and retrieve speed), making it ideal for the tops and slopes of underwater hills.
Application: Which fish?
The 14 cm size is a selective size that targets specific trophy fish:
1. Pike: This is the absolute number one. The Esox Jointed imitates a large, weakened fish that no toothy predator will pass up.
2. Catfish: Thanks to its strong vibrations, this model is often chosen by catfish anglers in shallower river overflows or lake shallows (I recommend changing the hooks)
3. Zander: Although zander are typically associated with soft plastics, an aggressively worked Dorado jointed lure can open up the water on warm summer nights.
